Maybe in the header here we might put some helpful hints for those who want to contribute websites. Geosh***ies would be at the top of the list of the Hall of Shame, of course... On the other hand, it may just be the way they see the market. Most people who make up their own websites will have a few pictures and a bunch of inane text and thus don't need much space; they also expect people with the kind of data volume we have to be businesses with large wallets, or hobbyists who will spend anything on their hobby. I'm pretty happy with my (non-wetlook) site-- lots of space for my pictures. BUT don't bother looking for it. They, too, clamp down hard on traffic (which my site just doesn't get much of.) |

By michael - waterwold501@yahoo.com Tue 08/04/03 02:33:51 GMT Website: www.geocities.com/waterworld501/index I am seriously pissed. two weeks I build a website with tons of great wet jeans pics of my wife and the master geocities doesn't allow any access because the "data transfer was exceeded". in other words: my site is too big, holds too much data and too many people tried to access the page in a too short period of time. but at any time I could increase my data transfer rate (for $$$ of course). so much for a FREE webpage. 2 weeks intense work for nothing. maybe you just want to keep the address and try again in some months (haha). I'm still pissed. anyway, have a good one MJ
