Or do what I've done and shoot on overcast days with filler flash. |

By Sopping - katakai@verizon.net Tue 09/03/04 06:26:45 GMT Many otherwise excellent beach wetlook scenes are spoiled because the photographer ends up exposing for the sun, sky, water and sand. These require a maximum 'step down" of exposure and result in a too dark, and sometimes even silhouette of the girl in the water. We have all seen them here.
Moonface, who, as a pro outfit and should know better,s has been particularly guilty of this these days. I assume they want to establish a "mood" by such, but I don't download mood!
The photos appearing on webshots are also bad this way, but since many are sort of sharing "family albums" or similar, I can't really blame them.
But if you are taking a girl into the sea, or similar, for wetlook shots, either make sure there is enough light on the subject, or use a fill-in flash.Don't put the model between you and the sun! I followed these rules when I made such pix, some years ago with success. And fergit the mood stuff. S:
