Nigel's solution is a good one with this addition: Get the Adblock extension to get rid of the banner ads. That way you can have the pictures load and not have the annoying banner ads.
A note of caution with Adblock: Be careful when using the wildcard ("*") filters...you may end up blocking ALL pictures from a site - - - including the navigation buttons!!!!! You can always tweak your settings, so don't worry about doing this, it is reversable. |

By Nigel - nigel@wetlook.com Mon 20/09/04 19:55:15 GMT Website: www.wetlook.com Anyone swithcing to Firefox, should be warned that by default, the browser doesn't load images from '3rd party' websites. In other words, any site that holds it's images on another server will not 'work'.
I just noticed this with the HSBC bank's website, and did a 'bug' report - enabling 3rd party images 'fixes' it, but having them blocked by default breaks a lot of sites, including THIS FORUM, and MINX MOVIES
So, if you are a Firefoix user, ensure 3rd party images are enabled ( I guess they disabled them to stop 'banner adverts'... ) if not, then many working website appear broken. As far as I'm concerned the default ticking of this box is a 'bug', as it breaks things !
The tick to be removed is on: Tools/Options/Web Features - "Load Images" should be ticked, but "for the originating web site only" should not be ticked.
