In Florida it only costs around $50 to get vanity licence plates for your car...so they are easy to get. I have had several on my cars in the last 15 years. I have the licence plates SSS 1 (the name of my first wam series in the early 90's) and then I also had MK123 and MWK1. My underwater producer friend Steve has UWLOVER on his Camero.

You can pretty much get them easily in florida....so long as you do not use anything considered to be offensive or objectionable....e.g. we have some licence plates with a picture of the Space Shuttle on them...and one bozo was using a Space Shuttle licence plate registered as KABOOM....and they took away that licence number from him because it was in poor taste. Some foreigners in the USA like to use naughty words that Americas don't understand....i.e. one English pop star used to drive around California in his Rolls Royce with his licence plate as BOLLOCKS...and they issued it to him cos they did not know what the word meant.

When I lived in the UK in the mid 70's I was at Trafalgar Square one time and I saw the famous E Type Jaguar being driven by uk softporn star Fiona Richmond...she was a big adult star of softcore movies in the UK in the 1970's...and the girlfriend of UK adult magazine mogul Paul Raymond (who created Mayfair and Fiesta and Razzle and numerous uk magazines). You could never miss her jag...Raymond bought it for her as a gift....with the licence plate FU 2

In the UK it means a lot to have a vanity plate...cos they are incredibly expensive to buy..and can cost more to buy than the cost of the car. Likewise...in Hong Kong..the chinese are very superstitious about numbers...and they will pay many thousands of dollars to buy certain car registration numbers...cos some numbers mean good fortune...while other numbers can mean death or bad luck.

I spotted vanity license plates "GET M WET" on a car in the Chicago burbs yesterday, right around where Naperville, Eola and Aurora come together. A woman was driving. Gotta wonder. Anybody know anything about these? Anybody here want to fess up? Did I spot Dr. Splash?
