I'd like to propose to all those who produce wetlook materials for sale to post the name and email address of anyone who rips you off or tries to scam you. This way everyone will be warned about dealing with such scum.
This biggest scam I've been victim of worked like this: Someone bought a membership to my members section. The asshole went in every day and downloaded everything there, running up bandwidth costs to the point that I had to shut down the members section for a while. I never found out who it was since there were so many members at that time.
Another scam works like this: Some jerk sends you an email asking for a password even though he never paid for membership. I just ignore that since he may just be phishing for email addresses to add to a spam list. I started getting lots of spam after naively replying to one very innocent looking query from Russia. If someone asks you a really stupid question like "how do I get a membership", they're probably messing with you.
And one more: Someone sends you an email from a Formmail on your site. Looks like an innocent query, but he may be just phishing for spam emails.
So I propose that wetlook producers post a message titled "SCAM ALERT" here in the form revealing the scammer's name and email address (so spammers can pick it up!) John
