By justme - blewisjr@aol.com Mon 07/10/02 15:06:41 GMT Thanks to all for the advice. I am going to try upgrading Window Medium Player to the latest version and see if that helps. If not, I will be begging for some other answers! |

By w@mboy - Sun 06/10/02 17:30:41 GMT Try rebooting your computer and then run windows media player and open the clip through it rather than clicking on the clip in My Computer. Quite often when I've got AOL or KaZaA running I get a similar effect so make sure there aren't any programs that run automatically when you start windows, it is likely that you are just running an old version of media player though. w@mboy |

By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Sun 06/10/02 15:42:03 GMT Unless I'm mistaken, .wmv files are native to windows media player. If they require newer codecs than are currently installed on your system, media player should attempt to download newer ones. If this is not happening, it could be that you are using a very old version of explorer/media player (without capability to automatically update). If you are running explorer 5 or later, automatic update should occur... if not, you've got me stumped.

By justme - blewisjr@aol.com Sun 06/10/02 14:29:14 GMT I am using Internet Explorer. The last particular video file I tried was a .wmv video. All I get is a blank screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! |

By justme - blewisjr@aol.com Sun 06/10/02 07:04:45 GMT I have downloaded several videos, but cannot get them to work with Windows Media Viewer. All I get is the Media window like it's going to work and actually show it playing in the reference at the bottom, but no picture shows. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!!!!! |
