Yeah....and there are tens' of thousand of people who were born with the name Ronald McDonald....and some of them were restaurant owners who could not even use their own name on their restaurants....because big dog Mcdonalds would sue them....for using their own name on their restaurant.

The young people today forget that it was not Steve Jobs who first used the name and logo "Apple"....it was the Beatles who created the Apple Corps as their recording company and logo in 1968....and then in the 1980's Steve Jobs stole that name and logo....and then because the Beatles company was in bankrupcy  then the new Apple Corps sued McCartney and company to stop using their own Apple logo that they created first.

So..it is not a question who who invented the name first or who used the name first....it is who has the biggest billion dollar company and lawyers that can crush other people who also use the name they want to use.

There is a movie from 1950 called "The Desert Hawk",  an unmanned aircraft called Desert Hawk, a Desert Hawk Golf Course, and a Desert Hawk Dental, according to Google.

"MK" often refers to the video game Mortal Kombat.

The World Wildlife Fund successfully sued the company formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation over the rights to the initials WWF and the internet domain http://www.wrestlingtour.com / www.wwf.com   .

Heck....I wish I owned that term MK too....because I am a nobody on the internet, and the term "MK" is more commonly used on the net to refer to the multi million dollar corporation that owns the "Model Kartei" modelling empire.......so that would would be worth a lot if you owned it...not from my sites...but from the Model Kartie empire.

http://www.model-kartei.de/

Mind you....I once have had offers from the "WAste Management TEChnical school" in the UK...who use the term :"WAMTEC"....offering to buy my wamtec domain name.....but I did not sell it cos that term still works for me....even 20 years later...because if you type that word in the google search engine...the only sites that ever come up on a Google search are all my sites in the first several pages on Google...so that silly term is something that is still unique to me and nobody else in the world likes to use that term today....whereas if you type the term "wetlook" in a google search.....you get hundreds of sites that belong to varous wetlook produces, and thousands more results that have nothing to do with the wetlook culture ...i.e. many fashion designers use that term to denote shiny spandex or shiny fabrcs or  leggings etc.

"Undrylook" rules!! Now does this apply to any and all places and spaces on the web where the term Wetlook is displayed? How the H - -l can they find every cobwebbed corner of the web that uses a single word?? (Big brother is watching) Is what your saying, really, that someone will send me a bill if I have "wetlook" in a paragraph on my webpage???  If you wonderful folks have banded together and purchased the word "Undrylook" with your own funds then undrylook it is.  Is it your recommendation that, with your permission, each and every one of us go to their own cobwebbed webpage and swap wetlook for undrylook? Undrylook IS your word now;) Imagine a fu _ _ _d up world where a corporation buys a single word for millions of dollars. What they really need to do is copyright everyones name then they can send us all bills just for living and breathing.

Now that the U.S. Commerce Dept is giving up control over the internet to the international community headquartered in Brussels.....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/technology/us-to-relinquish-remaining-control-over-the-internet/2014/03/14/0c7472d0-abb5-11e3-adbc-888c8010c799_story.html

...this is going to mean new taxes on internet usage coming from the new Internet agency based in Brussels. The purpose of the new Internet Agency will be to support poverty programs in Developing Nations via the sale of google search terms and keywords to copyright holders, who would then own the rights to all internet usage of those words and earn a rights usage fee whenever that word is being used by any person or entity in the internet, with 50% of all proceeds being taxed as a funding mechanism to support global poverty programs.

Sadly, what will be happening soon will be the same as happened with the song "Happy Birthday to you"...which is no longer sung on tv shows or movies these days because all usage of that song in any tv show or movie requires a copyright fee to be paid, so the song rarely gets sung on tv any more. The same thing will be happening once cyber investors and entrepreneurs start buying up all the search term words people use on the internet too. I have checked, and the average bid to buy the rights to use such words on the new Internet starts at $100,000 for the scarcely use words and the more popular words require bids into the millions of dollars. The current bid for the word "wetlook" is already at $250,000 and so that is way beyond any of us in the wetlook community to own the copyrights usage for using that word, so it will likely be snapped up by somebody outside of our wetlook world, and once that happens it will mean that all wetlook producers like me will have to pay an annual licensing fee of several thousand dollars to continue using that word in our video productions, and forums like this it will mean that all users on this would have to pay a fee of $40+ per month per user to continue using that word on this forum, because once they own this word and also they have domain name control, the annual renewal fee for the domain name wetlook.com is going to be several thousand dollars too.

This is going to affect all wetlook producers and wetlook fans alike, when we get hit with these new taxes and usage fees for using that word every day.

My suggestion is that we band together and avoid all these new fees, by changing the name of our culture from "wetlook"...to some other new made-up-name....because names that

do not exist and are made-up-names....can be bought from the new Internet Agency for a relatively low price of only $2000 to $5000 for made-up words.

Therefore, I am pleased to announce, that several wetlook producers along with NIgel and Graham of the 2 forums...have contributed $1000 each, and we have now bought the rights for a new term for wetlook,....so...effective May 1st...we should all stop using the term "wetlook"...to avoid paying fees to outside parties, and as from next month we should all use our new term  that we own the rights to use....which is   "Undrylook".

Please make sure to use the new term "Undrylook" and not to say "wetlook" after May 1st, and this will avoid you getting a bill from the outside entity that now owns that term.
