Sounds strange for me. I can view and download all vids without locking in. Nothing changed, only to view the few porn vids you have to be locked in.

Probably not, it will let me play them only when I am logged in, which is new, some videos were previously available without the need of being logged in. I would suggest registration, the mobile phone number is for security reasons only when for example you log in on holidays from a different country it will ask for your mobile number to confirm your identity

There is another advantage for registered users - there is an extension for Firefox called VKontakte.ru Downloader which allows you to download the videos as mp4s in a selected resolution (up to 720p, depending on the video), not just streaming.

Does anybody know, if it is possible to get Access to These vids without registrating at VK? The Registration requires your real mobile phone number.

Or is it possible to find russian vids on YouTube?
