Whoever is interested, I have the following questions:

1. Is there a wetlook scene from either a television programme (series, advert, game show etc.) or a movie, that you consider as your favourite? And if so, why?

2. Have you ever witnessed a real life wetlook scene that reminded you of one you have seen in a movie or on TV (i.e. the girl getting wet in similar clothing)?

3. Have you ever tried to re-enact such a scene in real life? I.e. get a girl wet in an outfit similar to one you have seen in a movie and you liked?

As for me…

1. There are a few scenes which I liked, but most of all three with simple clothing, which were closer to what you may see in real life:

Terry Moore in “Beneath the 12 Mile Reef” (plain pink button-down shirt over underwear, sleeves rolled up to the elbows),

Kristen Stewart in “Adventureville” (maroon t-shirt in pool), and

Another movie which I only saw part of it and don’t know the title, but I think it was filmed in Italy, the character’s name was Federica, and swam in a red and white polo shirt.

2. One summer, while on holiday in a Greek island, a local girl (around 16-17 at the time), swam in an outfit similar to that worn by Terry Moore in the Reef, i.e. a plain pink button-down shirt, with its sleeves rolled up to her elbows. The difference with Terry Moore was that underneath she wore a bikini (white and lilac) instead of underwear. She also had short curly hair, albeit much darker in colour than Terry Moore’s. On another occasion, the same girl swam in a white t-shirt with a beer advertisement on its front, over a blue bikini. It was just beach (or sun protection) wetlook, but something much more easily seen in real life, rather than fully clothed wetlook seen in movies.

Another girl, with whom my ex-girlfriend were close friends, came with us to the beach straight after work one day (she is a bank teller). She wasn’t planning to go swimming and had no swimsuit with her, but decided to go swimming in some of her clothes, i.e. a button-down shirt with white and blue stripes, with its sleeves rolled up to her elbows, over her white underwear. She removed her shoes and grey trousers. Her outfit reminded me of Mouche Phillips in an episode of Butterfly Island, but this girl was much older (around 23-24), and had wavy hair, dyed red, instead of Mouche Phillips who was no more than 15 in Butterfly Island, had long blonde straight hair and her shirt was short-sleeved.

3. Not yet… I have convinced girls to swim in outfits that I liked, but never based on something I had seen on TV or in a movie.
