Yeah....they sure are...because boots are much more prone to disintegrating and falling apart in the pool than regular shoes.

Every time we do a shoot using boots in the pool, they nearly always start to distegrate during the shoot and bits and pieces start to fall off.

We just did another Superhero shoot in the pool a couple of weeks ago, where the boots started to come apart and crap up the pool, and after the shoot finished we had

to spend 15 minutes using the pool vac to clean up the mess in the pool before we could shoot the next scene.

But boots are not the worst thing to use in the pool to crap up the filter......cos even worse were all the wet sweater shoots we did in the 1990's....where we had 10 girls all wearing

mohair and cashmere sweaters in my pool.....cos that crapped up my pool filter completely and it took 3 days to clean up the pool after all that mess.

Oh yeah....and the pool parties we had where tons of silly string and glitter confetti ended up in my pool.....that was an even bigger mess to clean up.

But getting back to boots.....they are ok to use in a pool shoot if they have never been wet before....but once they have already been wet in a prior shoot...don't try to use them again in the

pool at a later date, cos the next time you use them they will surely fall apart in the middle of your shoot.
