Are you doing photography or video? And what do you have for light? If you are shooting video, most video cameras are sensitive enough that you can use regular table lamps and the light will be sufficient. However, if you are taking still photographs, table lamps will not produce enough light and your scenes will be pretty dark even with the lamp. For photography, the best option is to have a strobe. The next best option is to use a speed light and your last option is to use the on board flash that is built into most cameras. If you are doing video, I would suggest you invest in a work light which you could find in a typical home improvement type store. I would also recommend an LED model, as they produce little heat. Some work lights are also pretty resistant to moisture, but this doesn't mean they are water proof.

Safety is indeed paramount. Any light source which is battery powered will be inherently safer around water. If you have to use lamps or devices which plug into your wall, you should keep them at a safe distance. In the US, most modern bathrooms use a special GFCI protected circuit to prevent shock in the event an electrical device comes in contact with water. I do not know if such a system exists elsewhere, but if not, you will want to prevent your electrical devices from coming in contact with water.

Hello! So I have a model who I want to do a wetlook shoot with, but the problem is location. The only location I have at the moment is the bathtub in my apartment. There is no window in the bathroom, and the only source of light is an incandescent light bulb on the ceiling. I thought about using studio light, but I am worried about it falling over and electrecuting the model...

How do you deal with these issues?
