I think a main reason the trashtheshoes and heelsnlegs sites didn't generate enough interest was because they were aimed at a very specific fetish. For me, burning shoes are only interesting at the beginning, as the flame and heat start to scorch and ignite the material, and I wasn't at all interested in the burning clothes because generally they were just in a pile on the ground. I was only interested in the first few cuts or tears to the shoes or clothing when they were destroyed that way. The same way, with mud and other mess, I'm only interested in seeing it in the beginning. I quickly lose interest once the clothing and shoes (and especially the face) are obscured by the mess.  I'm not very interested in destruction or total coverage. I'd much prefer watching a woman rinsing shampoo out of her hair than watch her smear mud in it, as I enjoy the way the suds run down her body, especially if it contrasts the clothing she's wearing.

I'm agree with guitar guy's comments, and have a few things to add on. So much of wetlook and WAM focuses on ultra zooms that linger on one area of the model's clothing, ignoring everything else for the majority of the video or photoset. I've bought a few videos where I was attracted to the woman's face, hair, outfit, shoes, whatever was shown in the preview that inspired me to buy it, only to be very disappointed when the parts that interested me were MAYBE shown in a quick pan of her body every now and then. I don't like zooms; I like the full body shots or enough to see how her body moves and how the clothes move across or cling to her body. I understand that this is personal preference and many people do like the extreme zooms, because otherwise there wouldn't be so many of them.

Another thing that has frustrated me with wetlook is that so often the shoes are generally ignored. This isn't just with wetlook though. Women will spend hours looking for the perfect shoes in the store, carefully select which pair of shoes to wear with her outfit, but then when she gets her picture taken, they're ignored. Even in full-body shots, the photographer puts the bottom of the frame around mid-calf or waist-level with half the picture showing the sky. I see the questions over and over on various sites: "Is she wearing shoes?" "What shoes are she wearing?" "Can you show her shoes?" There is interest in footwear in wetlook, even if there's not enough to warrant sites dedicated to wet, messy, or destroyed shoes. It doesn't even have to be a big part of the video or photo set either, just occasionally panning down to show her shoes or zooming out/backing up to get the full-body shot. Alternatively, use them as props for part of the video. Show her kicking the water with her shoes before she goes in, or have her use a shoe to scoop up water to pour on herself. Have her kick off her heels into the pool, then dive in to get them. Have her take them off in the water and show her set them on the pool deck or toss them onto the beach. Simple stuff like that. Some producers do this, and their work interests me much more than those who don't. I like wetlook. I also like seeing boots and heels in wetlook, and wish there were more. Even running shoes, sports shoes, and other casual footwear.

I got a little off track there, going more into what I like than I'd intended. I'm not asking for wetlook dedicated to shoes. I'm just asking for more wetlook producers to give us at least brief shots of the shoes during the course of the video or photo set. And I'm not asking for constant full-body shots. Zooms and pans are great too, but variety of the three makes the videos more interesting to a wider audience. Or, as guitar guy suggested, have a second camera going, even if it's just a stationary GoPro or cell phone camera set up to catch the action from a different angle.

As far as Trash the Dress videos, those aren't aimed at people like us who use every search term we can think of to find wetlook. Most people outside our little community might only see a couple videos, so they don't realize that 90% of the videos are the same. To them, it's new and exciting, something they've never seen before. Most of the non-WAM TTD producers are trying to create a romantic atmosphere, not hit all the money shots. Their goal isn't to make it exciting, but rather interesting. To us, that's boring because we're jaded. For the intended audience, non-WAMmers, it is interesting and romantic and classy.

Those are all very good points and I am sure the producers who read this will take note of them.

My observations would be

1) Flaviu and I jointly started a website 7-8 years ago called Trashtheshoes.com where the emphasis was all on the shoes and also Flaviu had a website called Heelsnlegs.com where the focus was on the legs and heels, and despite our best efforts we eventually had to shut those sites down, due to a lack of interest and support from the fans and low sales. So we have tried that subject matter already and ran those sites for 6-7 years but unfortunately there was not a large enough interest and fan support in order to sustain those sites with that subject matter. Flaviu is a better cameraman than I am so his camerawork was very good and focused on all the money shots that heels and legs fans like to see, and the models and settings were fine. I don't know what else we could have done to improve the sales, there was just a general lack of interest in the media on those sites.

2) The subject of cinematography is an interesting one. This is where Flaviu and I have different views.....i.e. when you become a wetlook producer....do you want to be an "artist" or do you just want to deliver what your fans want to see (an artist only does his vision, not what the general public want to see....whereas a non-artist is like a whore...and only does what the consumer wants). There are many wetlook producers who do a great job at delivering "wetlook art" in a classy style.....i.e. it was Graham of Styx who first coined the phrase "Classy Wetlook" and that was a motto for his video series and forum...and Graham achieved his goal of delivering high class wetlook with good cinematography. You also have many other producers who focus great care and attention to cinematography and use first class models and locations. I will plead guilty to being on the other side of this viewpoint, because one of the reasons I started making wetlook videos in the first place is that I got bored to death with the classy style of Playboy videos where everything was in slow motion and constant transitions or blended shots and boring music. My goal was to do things in the opposite way to Playboy style camerawork and editing.....and just to deliver the money shots....which meant  my style of camerawork and editing was more crude and lessy classy. BTW,,,,thats not laziness to do things in a non-cinematographic way....that was a conscious decision I made,,,because personally I hate "artsy fartsy" stuff.  I think that classy can be done well....but if you take it too far then classy can become BORING......for example....look no further than 99% of all the "Trash the Dress" videos on Youtube. They all use great camera equipments but their editing techniques send me to sleep. Trash the Dress videos are a great thing for insomniacs.....but not for me.

It would seems to me that the best camera and style for covering low angle shots of shoes would be the GoPro....cos the GoPro was invented by a surfer-dude and there are many interesting surfing videos that use the Go Pro and this would be perfect to use on a wet heels shoot......but having the perfect camera and style would not address the problem Flaviu and I experienced....i.e. we ran wet heels sites for 6-7 years and there was not enough of a fan base interested in that media, so we had to close our heels sites due to slow sales.

At the risk of becoming unpopular, well.. I am not popular anyway (haha) There is one thing all of the producers have not done and are not doing. Jim was the only producer who was close. We have all kinds of situations, fashion combinations, indoor, outdoor, winter scenes (tough ones) and the variety is good, and always interesting.

What nobody does pertains to the fascination with high heels, boots, and legwear. We have not enough after material.

The typical sequence, before anxious contemplation, maybe a little tease (all good) in the water, (any kind of water) then the after scenes.

The before is usually about 10%, then IN the water about 80%, then followed by maybe 5% or 2% of the after scenes, and she waves bye!

The problem IMO is the lack of after scenes.. exactly the problem and complaint of Hollywood scenes. The producers are nearly as conventional as Hollywood. Wetlook producers are too polite.

What exactly do I mean by "too polite"? back to the fascination of legwear, socks stockings, high heels or boots... some of the sexiest shots Hollywood has ever done are the tracking shots. Such as the camera tracks a woman walking on a sidewalk in heels either on approach, or following her. The tracking shots are usually close up. Some of the sexiest shots also are the pauses, a turn, or stopping at the curb, if only for several seconds.. long enough to appreciate the image.

What Hollywood usually does, politely but sensually, the convention of "looking down" with the camera, then "looking up. The pause is almost always non-existent. As soon as the camera (sensuously) sweeps down, it sweeps back up. Then we cut away to a med shot or long shot.

This "polite" convention is the same in our wetlook products. All of the producers do it. How rare it is that a well dressed woman, will be photographed as rudely as to PAUSE the camera at her feet? Hollywood rarely does, since this is rude. Wetlook almost begs to see and hear the legwear and footwear. Just the brief down and up by the camera doesn't capture it.

The second rarity is legwear itself. We have more and more bare legs. There's nothing wrong with that, as variety is good, we need variety. But variety does not exempt legwear either. I argue in favor of, that wet lookm is not about bareness. it's about clothing! Legwear is clothing.

The third rarity is formal legwear. The tights, or nylons are more often dark, opaque, or brightly colored stripes or dots... variety is doog, but these are the only variety currently offered by everyone. Casual is dominant. If a lady wears a natural shade, lighter tone, not dark, not bright red she may be dressed down in other ways, track shoes for instance. If a lady is wearing classic pumps, no stockings, we are offered bare legs.   -or-   if in classic pumps, then maybe opaque tights ok for variety, but again a most common variety.

So what does it take for me to not complain?   haha!

A great combination.. the classic business suit, jacket, classic pumps, (or hooker platforms) and light toned nylons. Simple, elegant and RARE! I never see this combination. (or very rarely) I would complain less if we were offered longer and more detailed after shots. Entering the water is an event.. the shoes go in first. That's where the camera needs to be. Then cut away (or zoom) to the medium shot. Her walking out of the water is just as interesting. A close up of the shoes out of the water is interesting. Holding the shot more than 1/10th of a second is interesting! Seeing the socks or stockings respond to walking out of the after is interesting. Finally where the eyes go in person is interesting. Where the eyes go, is where the camera should go. The eyes do not constantly move. They stop and focus now and then.

There is a difference between shooting a scene, and cinematography! Shooting a scene can be easily done by moving the camera, and by mostly medium to long shots. Cinematography requires skill and experience and the instincts of the cinematographer. The wetlook producers are "lazy" not anything to do with work ethic.. especially Dima works hard, (regards Dima) and produces an amazing quantity and variety of work. "Lazy" is the over-use of the zoom. A much better method is to TRACK your subject.  The camera closer to the subject (approx 5 ft or 1.5 meters) will be a more detailed image, and more interesting. For the med shot, allow her to walk AWAY from the camera. The zoom is over-used, and the distant camera masks detail and clarity of the image. And Dima, your girls are wearing pumps, I will buy if she's wearing light toned sheer nylons, the opaques are too common IMO. Cut offs with the same legwear is super IMO!

Again, Everyone has their thing, But I am addressing what is not being offered!

Producers, the same applies to still photography. A camera closer to the subject (approx 5 to 10 feet or 1.5 to 3 meters) will be much cleaner and more detailed,vs shooting from across the pool, or more than 25 feet away. The zoom is your worst enemy. When you want to do a close up sequence move closer!

Still another not covered area of wetlook is the multiple camera setup. Who will be the first producer to cut and edit their scenes? I realize this may take more time, but it may be minimal and add so much. Who will be the first producer to offer two camera versions of a scene? Perhaps one version pertains more to hair, and upper body and back side, the other version more on the legs and legwear? The legs and legwear demand close ups by nature. (because it is interesting)  How many here, in a live situation with a female companion would be standing 10 feet away, or get the "bird's eye view? That's what I thought! Ok Producers, why not offer more close up?.. still photos too, and make this more interesting? (it's a little rude, but more welcome in an intimate setting don't you think?)

IMO lewdness and mostly naked is not appropriate for wetlook, we have been going more that way, and it's wrong IMO. If any producer wants to make $$ in that area, perhaps then consider another site not dedicated to wetlook?

I am a customer of many, so I have earned the right to complain! and suggest!

Thank you all producers and MK for all the great work, but yes there are "new" frontiers, and perhaps some  old ones ventured from.

Apologies for the rambling length, prob full of typos... Thoughts???

I am not sure what we could do that has not already been done very well by the newer producers. There are only so many ways to get wet, and only so many styles and fashions and now every topic imaginable is very well covered by all the younger producers. If there is any wetlook subject matter that is not already covered by other producers, let me know, but I cannot think of any.

I have been focusing more on new technologies and new ways to deliver the media, but even the newer technologies have a "ceiling" that the wetlook consumer does not seem to have an interest in. For example, when Blu-Ray HD media first came out we started making Blu-Ray disks in 1080p, and almost nobody was interested in ordering media on Blu-Ray. Then we tried upgrading the download clips from 720p quality to full 1080p quality and nobody copuld care less about 1080p because most consumers are happy with 720 HD clips. Recently better 4K and 8K UHD cameras have come out and I was thinking to invest in better cameras in order to produce media in 8K UHD quality, but the feedback I have been getting is not to waste my money on better cameras cos people these days seem to be content with iPhone quality cameras.

So....what to do....that nobody else is doing.....maybe we should make a website where people can remote control Drones that can fly over one of Flaviu's pool parties so the user can choose the best money shots they like to see.

Personally I would like to operate a "Holodeck" style website like Star Trek TBG so that users can pick their models and wardrobe and environments and then have a holographic interactive wetlook experience of their choosing.

But we are not at that level of technology yet, and when we do reach that stage I am sure Leon, Erik, UFA and Flaviu can do things much better than I can.
