Hi SwimInClothes. I am very similar to you in age, and my obsession also started at around the same age. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't get involved, and I have never had the kind of cash you have had available to spend! Lucky you!

I don't think the fetish is a problem as long as you and your wife are happy together. One thing I would say is that I disagree about the advice you were given re not caring about swimming fully clothed whilst in a group with friends. If, like me, getting wet with clothes on is a turn on, then you need to control things otherwise it could get a little awkward. Imagine if someone said to you "Oh it's fine getting massively aroused at the dinner table with your friends, whilst they're all just eating their dinner". I mean, once you take the fetish away, it would be a little strange, as advice, don't you think? If, on the other hand, for you, getting wet in clothes is not sexual, but more about having fun, letting go of your inhibitions etc, then go for it!

I have only once, been fully clothed in a pool WITH other fully clothed people (end of a wedding). In those circumstances, it was ok, because I was effectively hiding my arousal. Were I the only one in clothes it might have been ok if I had been seen as just in some kind of crazy fun drunk mood. However, if I regularly swam with my circle of friends, and I was doing so fully clothed, I imagine that at some stage, awkward questions would be asked, and I'm not that good at lying. I don't really have the kind of circle of friends where we're comfortable getting sexually aroused in front of each other. Of course, for you, it may be different!

Hi all,

Been into wetlook since I was can remember - probably around 5 years old. I’m 46 now and it feels like over time it’s more and more on my mind. Feels like a bit of an obsession for me lately. Ive built two in ground pools over my life and bought a boat, kayaks, floats, etc with wetlook as the ultimate reasoning. Bought over $3000 in Ralph Lauren Polo Rugby shirts, numerous pairs of jeans, numerous pairs of white tube socks, Japanese schoolgirl long socks, 15 pair of Ugg boots for my wife and I, you get the point. I think about it every day. If I see water, I think about it. If I see my pool I think about it. If my wife put jeans on I think about it. I just bought another kayak while thinking about it. I’m going to a psychologist, initially because when we have people over I feel like I have to swim in a swimsuit but he’s telling me people could care less what I wear and just do it. But also because I feel like it is mind consuming and I don’t want it to affect my career in any way. Any one else feeling this way? I don’t know if I should worry or not. I just feel like all I want to do all day every day is swim clothed. It’s not causing any financial hardships, but it’s certainly not helping me with my plan of retiring early either :/.
