or try hijack this
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.html
or direct d/l
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip
just download it, unzip it and it scans and removes,
coolweb search pissed me off for two days, and kept putting 'Very young teens' links in my favourites.
IE is very easy to attack, my advice is download netscape, and use IE only for D/L software updates for A/V andWindows

In reply to Message (8261) Anybody else here have Websearch or Coolsearch "invade" their browser...
By Getwet - Mon 26/01/04 04:02:58 GMT and it takes over your Internet Explorer homepage? You can change it to something else and it's back the next time you crankup your computer. Anybody have any idea how to get rid of it? I've even gone into my registry for Internet Explorer and Modified it by deleting/removing it. Just a nusiance that something is so invasive like that. |
