By Tobias - Tue 03/09/24 21:41:23 GMT Thank you, I appreciate your thoughts.
It appears that there is a limit of 1,000 photos on free Flickr accounts, which should be enough for now. I'm not sure whether that includes liked or favourites images (if that's a word). I have 28k images on Pinterest but many are saved to more than one board or are not wetlook.
Resolution has only seriously dropped in the last few days. Until them, images were 100kb plus, so still ok in quality but not great. The 5kb images look like they're from the mid-90s! |

By Don in Florida - Tue 03/09/24 21:33:59 GMT my vote would be flickr. But I think you have to pay to have a site on flickr above a certain amount of data. Hope I am wrong and sure you will find all the details before you publish. I just know I find good quality pictures on Flickr but low res on pinterest. |

By Tobias - Tue 03/09/24 20:18:22 GMT Hi all,
I'm looking some advice regarding these two platforms.
For the first time this year I have published candid photos (albeit on a private board) on Pinterest. I've noticed that the published quality is terrible, around 5kb per image when I have downloaded them back. Has anybody else experienced this with Pinterest? I was wondering whether publishing the board publicly would change the resolution? Essentially, I feel I've lost 150 photos because I've deleted them from my device. I haven't experienced this level of image degradation before, having used Pinterest for well over a decade.
Is Flickr a better option? Are there any drawbacks?
Thanks
