They are a bit easier to swim in, given that baggy or flared jeans or trousers (and long flowing dresses) can get tangled round the feet, but changing strokes mid-swim can usually free them, or wearing a belt round the skirt (to stop it creeping down your legs as you swim along). Long dresses can also float up underneath your arms during backstroke (do a torpedo roll to avoid this, or velcro the hem of the skirt to the side of your leggings). Actually it's a lot of fun getting swirly clothing wrapped round you as you swim (don't try this at home, lol), as it adds to the spontaneity :) Have phun :) |
