I wish I could have seen that!
Back when I was lifeguarding I had a family come in and try and swim fully clothed for what seemed to be religious reasons.
The mom gets in and starts swimming laps in a literal maxi t shirt dress (linked above- I think it’s the exact same dress). The head guard comes over and is like you have to tell her to get out that dress is a serious drowning hazard and I had to make up some BS about how I didn’t feel comfortable doing it when in reality I was ROCK hard under the rescue tube lol.
On a side note- when I went to link that dress it took me directly to the Amazon app on my family’s account and thank God my girlfriend is a teacher and likes to wear dresses to work because otherwise I’m not sure what my explanation would be for my mom as to why I was searching maxi dresses because she’s probably the last person I could see wearing one to begin with lol. |

By Mermaid Wanda - Mon 23/09/24 01:33:09 GMT Website: https://tinyurl.com/janetandjulia I love swimming in a long patchwork boho skirt at my local pool (Fusion), with a flared-sleeve hippie minidress over the top, jewellery, ankle bracelets, and stripy red-and-black tights. I add a belt at the waist to stop the skirt flapping over my head when I do the fly. For lane swims, I usually just wear a tie-dye umbrella dress and flowery leggings (with the hippie minidress). The lifeguards are no problem, in fact they smiled at me the first time I did this, after all, they only want to be sure you can swim in all this wonderful swirly fashionwear without drowning yourself :) Have phun :) |

The tripping hazard when they get wet and stretch aside, the way they cling and the neckline drops…. nothing else like it.
