You can also capture the whole screen in any moment's state, just press the "PrtScrn/SysRq" key. At that moment, the whole screen as it was at the moment of the key stroke (including the image you're trying to save) has been put in the system's Clip Board (the same temporary memory which is used when using "Copy" in a software).
All that remains to do is to open a image editor (Paint, Photoshop, Microsoft Photo Editor, etc.), crop the part of the image you want to keep, then "Save" it into the proper file format (.bmp, .jpg).
Note that the same technique will allow you to save screen captures in videos. |

I assume you don't want to save the file spaceball.gif, that is a transparent GIF with no image. To save the image underneath the GIF, I use the Mozilla Firefox browser.
1. At the top, go to Tools and select Page Info 2. In Page Info, select the Media tab 3. Now you will have a list of all images on the page. Scroll down to the JPEG image listed just above spaceball.gif (this is usually the one you want) 4. Click on the filename for a preview, then click on the Save As button and you can save it.
