Did a bit more research. I'm beginning to see how it works. Still not clear on exact details. Of course, they recommend the $400 unit. Quite a leap of faith. Thanks for the information. Using that damn thing with a flight simulator you could get hurt. |

Hey
There are indeed different types of VR kits. As I have an oculus, so I use Oculus or steam vr.
Mostly you do need a hdmi connection and some free USB 3 ports, but that depends on your vr glasses.
Also keep in mind that you need a quite fast video card and at least an i5 or amd Ryzen 5 series. The better your system, the better you experience will be.
Most people don't know the difference in about a 360 video but it is immense. Sometimes some producers think that they make VR with a 360 video, but that it no true.
There is no depth, and this is what makes vr that special.
Any other question please ask me. I am using vr every day, and I love it.
But never forget, you can watch movies, youtube in a virtual movie theatre, but in real vr experience, those simple don't exist.
Regards

I have gotten curious about virtual reality sets. Lots of questions. I did find about 5 VR Youtubes that look really great. So I poked around and asked questions about how VR works. The information is a little vague. They expect that you know a lot about VR before you aske the questions. Does a VR headset hook up to a standard PC for viewing? What is the software necessary to operate VR? Are many of the producers of wetlook going to be able to record Youtubes or content in VR? It looks intriguing. I can imagine watching wetlook in VR. It would be a big advance in entertainment. Just asking.
