I guess it's lost a lot in recodings, but I was convinced it was from a movie and has a "film" look, although a more modern filming... based on the colours, lighting, camera movement, etc.. The soundtrack also suggested to me "film" rather than anything else. That it is operatic doesn't really say to me that this is an opera dramatized for the screen (big or small), but rather that it is to define the tone and emotion of the moment.
I assumed from the architecture that it was a European setting, and therefore more likely a European production.
I take your point about the fire engine. I initially assumed it was European, but after looking more closely, I see what you mean - it does look more "vintage" American than anything European, so even if it is a European setting, it's most likely an American production.

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Tue 09/07/13 02:24:23 GMT I was about to mention that Fire Truck too....it definitely looks like an American fire truck and not one you would see in any European country....so it means that clip is from some American production....not European.
I was also thrown aback by the wardrobe the girl is wearing and the lady who picks her up and others in the scene....cos it seems to me this would be from a period drama that is set more than 50 years ago during the 1940's or 50's...but the Fire Truck seems out of place cos it looks like a more modern Fire Truck that is much younger than the period garments the actors are wearing.
It is hard to be precise....because of the poor quality of the clip....but that definitely does not look like "film" to me....cos it looks more like a production shot on video....so I do not think this comes from any theatrical film...cos it looks like video and not like film does.
The music wailing in the background seems to point to some sort of modern opera production.....so my guess is that this does not come from a film....but from some modern opera production that was shot on video. I do not recognize the girl either.....so this makes me think this is not a film or tv actress...but probably a singer from a modern operatic productiom shot on video.
It you can upload some of your other unknown clips to Youtube perhaps we can identify some of those.

By Kerry Tiller - kctiller@cox.net Tue 09/07/13 02:11:33 GMT I don't know if this will help, but the fire truck appears to be a Seagrave from the late 1960s. The soldiers scuffling at the door appear to be wearing U.S. G.I. Military Police helmets.

By AnthonyX - anthonyx@jowc.net Mon 08/07/13 19:30:23 GMT Website: http://iwdb.wampedia.org/Scene_10559 I've been rummaging through my collection of clips, and happened across a number of "mystery" scenes. Can anyone identify the movie and/or actress appearing in the scene described here:
