Hi All
Found this about a Possible Pool Party in London this sunday, sure to be some wetlook there......
BESTIVAL LIDO PARTY – THIS BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY! BROCKWELL PARK LIDO, LONDON SE24
Yes you read that right! We are throwing a And we have coming down to launch her brilliant compilation too!!! Yes you read that right! We are throwing a Bestival Lido Party this Sunday! And we have Radio 1’s Annie Mac coming down to launch her brilliant ‘A to Z’ compilation too!!!
Ok, so we did say our last Lido party would be the only one we would do… but it went so well and we had so many of you begging us to do another one that we couldn’t resist!
‘A to Z: Annie Mac’ is the follow up to The Cuban Brother’s A to Z album we released earlier this year. It’s Annie's first compilation ever, so she's delved deep into her record collection, gathering together stone cold classics and cutting edge gems, displaying an all embracing love for a good party tune. Spread over two discs it features classics such as Roy Ayers ‘Everybody Loves The Sunshine’ and the legendary 'Uptown Top Rankin' from Althea & Donna alongside the super-fuelled beats of High Contrast's 'Racing Green', darlings du jour Hot Chips' 'And I Was A Boy From School' and Jamie Lidell's 'Multiply'… plus much much more! It's out on 11th September on Sunday Best Recordings (and will be available to buy from the Sunday Best shop at Bestival).
“If you love great music, you'll love this compilation – just like everyone at IDJ!” 5/5 IDJ Magazine
Joining Annie at Brockwell Lido this Sunday will be Bestival head-hippie Rob da Bank, the Sombrero Sound System and lots of silly fun and games for you to get involved in. Plus you’re welcome to have a swim and there’ll be a BBQ and lots of lovely booze for you to consume. What more could you possibly need?!
It’ll start at 6pm (it really will this time!) and is going to carry on until midnight. Door tax is £5 and it’s strictly 1st come 1st served – so you’d best get down there early if you want to get in. Brockwell Park Lido is on Dulwich Road SE24. Nearest rail is Herne Hill and tube is Brixton.
As before, some of us will be down at the Prince Regent pub over the road beforehand for a pint and a roast if you want to come down earlier. And remember – no work on Monday! :-)
