I think in most countries, as swimming is a sport, it is seen as purely competitive, not for recreation or as a survival skill, and as such, the participant has to dress 'appropriately', ie swimming costume. Cycling is the same in the UK - not many people, other than children, cycle in everyday clothes. Mind you, in the UK at least, we are now actively discouraged from swimming anywhere but 'proper' swimming pools, or the sea. Anywhere else is viewed as dangerous. |

By Sweden - Mon 19/01/09 17:47:25 GMT Clothing swimming in different countries.
Here in Sweden, it is quite common with clothes sim sim in school, but the talk that it is on the way out.
By contrast, in the Netherlands where there is a lot of water, which is very common, you can also see much on youtube from swimming school in these countries.
I think in fact that the clothing sim is reached to be included in the swimming school, an important issue, both in order to try how it feels to swim with your clothes on for safety but also to experience the feeling.
Unfortunately, not many who take with them into the future and try again.
