They are described on Wikipedia as a "comedy-folk" duo. Given that, and the low production values of that Youtube, I wouldn't read too much into it. It just looks to me like a bit of off-the-wall music video satire (sort of Second City on a lower-than-their-lowest-ever budget).

At the end of the day, don't be surprised to find that there's a joke, and that joke is on the viewer.
