Hi Jessica,
The folks who attack your wetlook fun using words like "stupid" were not raised properly and were not taught the saying: "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all", and so do not deserve your consideration or even your acknowledgement.
To anyone who questions your wetlook fun in a polite way, all you need to say is that it's harmless fun, and if they don't get it, perhaps they haven't tried it. If they have tried it and still don't get it, well, we're all different. As to the prospect of ruined clothes and/or shoes, it's your clothing/shoes to risk; nobody has any right to dictate what you can or cannot do with your own stuff. For perspective, think about all the perfectly good cars which get destroyed every time a movie studio shoots a car chase or disaster scene, not to mention all the clothes and shoes which get ruined in action scenes. If your outfit survives a soaking (as a lot of clothing probably would anyway), their concern is moot; if it's damaged, it was your choice to have a little fun at the expense of a few items of clothing.
For some additional perspective... Sure, when we have more than we need, we can afford to have fun with it. It doesn't make sense to "think about all the starving people in the world" in this context, because there actually IS enough to go around. A lot of perfectly good inventory (food, clothing, medicine, and numerous other goods) is actually destroyed without ever reaching a consumer because it was surplus to market demand. The problem is with distribution and distribution policy - actually directing the available supply into the hands of the needy. That's determined by leaders and beaurocrats, and won't be affected by the choice of an individual with a few extra dollars to spend to buy a little extra of this or that to purposely waste or destroy it in the name of fun.
Is any of this helping?

In reply to Message (53038) some people just don't get wetlook
By Jessica - friends@fantasystockings.com Sun 08/01/12 04:34:52 GMT Website: www.youtube.com/fantasystockings My friends,
I am sad to say that after I started exploring wetlook on my channel, I am beginnign to get a lot of upset messages from "non-wetlookers" about how stupid it is what I am doing. Some say it politely that they hate to see clothing and shoes ruined by water (not true, our pool has saline solution that is not chlorine based).
Does anybody have any suggestions how to explain this to others?
