It seems I made a Freudian gaffe....but then...bear in mind that now I moved to the USA where we currently have a president who famously said in a speech that the USA had 57 states.....and who apparently can see dead people like "The Sixth Sense" cos at a memorial day speech he said ""On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today"....ha ha
I have made many gaffes over the years too....thankfully I do not have to give public speeches,

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Mon 11/06/12 03:27:07 GMT I do not know that UK tv play cos I was not in the UK in the 1980's and I cannot search in Gaelic, but I am pretty sure that the 2005 UK/Spanish horror film "Beneath Still Waters" was partly based on that same storyline and took elements of the real story and turned it into a ghost storry about the haunted village at the bottom of the lake.
So....see the film "Beneath Still Waters" cos that has some nice wetlook scenes too and has the same basic premise about a village that is deliberately flooded to create a water resevoir..

By Ngawa - Sun 10/06/12 23:48:09 GMT Some time ago the Welsh language station, S4C, showed a surreal play about Capel Celyn - the village that was flooded in the 1960s to build a reservoir. The action took place entirely underwater. All of the actors swam around wearing breathing tubes and fully clothed. It started with them all dressed in 1960s casual outfits before they stripped and changed into smart office wear. At the very end they all surfaced and sat in various poses at desks with their clothes glistening and dripping. Anybody remember this? I think it may have been shown in the late 80s or early 90s. |
