No offense intended, but personally, I'm not fond of the idea that someone could be videotaping someone else in public without their knowledge, and then putting the stuff on the internet for all to see. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that way.  For me, producing wetlook, with a model is much more fun. I don't have to waste my time sitting by some fountain waiting for a possible wetlook sighting, and I don't have to be disappointed when the woman being watched takes off their socks and shoes, (or whatever your favorite garment is) or changes into a bikini, or the view becomes blocked by some fat ass, or a group of assholes. Everything in a photo shoot can be planned and we can choose anything we want to see get wet. Wanna see a gorgeous woman in a gown go in the pool for a swim? All I got to do is make a phone call and in an hour, it will happen.

Honestly I don't know what the big deal is with the "spontaneity of the moment" thing is, but I do think that some, (based on other similar topics) might be misinterpreting this to mean that a woman who gets wet "spontaneously", is somehow personally into wetlook. Maybe they so desire this, that they perceive that spontaneity to be evidence of such, I don't know? It's not reality, but it does seem to explain why there is a preference towards real women in candid situations, than to paid models, because a paid model won't be likely to be personally or genuinely into wetlook, (i.e. they only do it for the money). The problem is, regular women are usually not even aware of this thing we call wetlook, so they aren't going to be "into" it either, and I would suspect that should they be made aware of it, they might never "spontaneously" get wet in public again. Models on the other hand, no problem! All we have to do is explain what we want them to do and they do it. Such as put on this dress and heels and go for a swim, while we take some photos of you. While the majority of models aren't going to be personally into wetlook for themselves either, we don't have to worry about sneaking around and photographing them without their knowledge, or consent and it only gets better, once the model understands what you want. Some of the girls we have the pleasure of working with find modeling wetlook to be a lot of fun for them too, and they often come back for more. Sure, the money is an incentive, and rightfully so. I don't have a problem with a model trying to earn some extra cash. Many of the models we get to work with, genuinely have fun, just like the regular girl frolicking in a fountain (they aren't faking that emotion). There is also the very rare instances when models do become personally interested in wetlook, and the money had nothing to do with that.

Perhaps today's wetlook fans are a bit spoiled. The availability of the internet has introduced us to far more wetlook than what was available before when the only way to get wetlook material from a producer was to be lucky enough to find a producer or receive a wetlook newsletter. Fortunately those days are over! There is a good side to all of this. Wetlook has become much more available. There are many more producers out there and they can cater to an unlimited number of niches. For us producers we can now find many more models and buy specific clothes online, on sites like Ebay to cater to almost any taste. There is much more networking with the internet. Customers have more direct access to producers and their work. In the old days if you requested a Wamtec list from MK, he would send you a telephone book sized printout, which as I recall took him awhile to do and ship to you. I'm sure this is one of those times when MK and his customers appreciate the internet now, because you can get the same list on line, in the same day, and MK doesn't have to take precious personal time printing out another long list using up a "log" of copy paper and a gallon of ink, and running down to the post office to send it all to you, while you wait. Today you can download a video online and get it the same day. No more waiting for a CD to arrive in the mail, no delays, no waiting for the check to clear. So there are some benefits to the internet in our community. We can even talk here on this forum. Is there too much wetlook out there? Is the market over saturated? The problem in the early days before the internet was there really wasn't very much wetlook to be had. But there weren't as many customers either because not many people knew it existed. I had been into wetlook since I was a young child. I never knew that there were others into wetlook or that a newsletter even existed. So I missed out a lot of stuff from the days before the internet, rather taking a similar course to finding new material as MK... combing the local video rental stores, and libraries, etc. The internet changed all of that. Yes, there is more competition, but the information is far easier to find for virtually anyone with a computer. The customer base has also increased. With more customers comes more demand. One thing about markets is they are always self correcting. Sadly this also means that some producers will fail, or become uncompetitive. But some will become great successes. There is also far more free stuff too. Most producers provide a short sample of their work and with many more producers vying for a slice of the cake, means that more photo & video samples are available. Our site alone contains quite a lot of sample photos free for anyone to see, and there are numerous Youtube sample videos available to see, too. Some producers have flickr and other photo sharing accounts and show some of their work there. You might want to also check out Face Book, Twitter and Tumblr these days as a source for new material. We have them and we post often to them. We will see you on the internet......
