I think "pretends to fall" would be more accurate. I love the way she then carries on with the interview dripping wet, and holds up the corner of her wet jumper at the end to show how wet she is! By the way, did I hear the interviewee say "enjoy your bath" in English (in a conversation otherwise in Swedish) while the interviewer was in the water?
