What I heard was that people were giving away their location on the game. The game seems almost exactly like Google Maps or some other form of GPS, in that you see a map and yourself walking around. Someone is probably able to see who else is around hunting Pokemon if the others allow it in their settings. Pokemon seem to be just spawning in random locations. Some people have knocked on random doors and asked to go in the strangers' backyard to catch a Pokemon. So I imagine a Pokemon spawned in a secluded area and certain people were watching and waiting for someone to try and catch it, then robbed that someone at gunpoint. A few people have already been arrested for it, but it's still going on.

I read that some thugs used the new Pokemon Augmented Reality game app to lure people in quiet places and rob them.

How do this work, can this be used to get people into lakes and rivers? :D
