I say just go for it and don't think about it too much. It's thinking about it that is stopping you from going for it.
Myself and my girlfriend have often gone to Southend seafront at night and gone in with everything on, footwear and all.
You get the odd person walking past and if we've been able to see them coming, we've come out in advance but there have been a couple of occasions where people have seen us first, so I've just made out we're messing about, splashing etc.

By Messylaura - Fri 28/06/19 00:25:29 GMT yeah, you do get afew people wondering if you are ok if you out on your own in a lake or canal etc, if there are alot of people around like on a beach you can just 'blend in', as DMO said, just look like you having fun and you get ignored, if you wear a string vest and have a can of stella you probably get alot of space too :P (micky flannagan)

By DungeonMasterOne - Wed 26/06/19 17:01:00 GMT Legally, just about anywhere where people go in the water on warm days. There are no rules about what you can or can't wear into the sea on a beach, or go into a river wearing, and it's a lot more common than I think some realise to go into the water with clothes on. Just wade in and look like you're having fun, chances are no-one with bother you unless you look distressed. I've walked into rivers and the sea, and played in the water, all over the country, usually wearing a boilersuit and wellies, never had a problem. |
In reply to Message (77507) Where can I swim wearing my boots?
By Skelenton - Mon 24/06/19 18:30:41 GMT I really want to try swimming wearing my boots, to see what it feels like.
Where in the UK can I legally do this?
I'm also embarrassed easily, and I'm scared somebody might see what I'm doing.
Any ideas?
