I never said that it had to end in sex. The scenes could be anything from harmless fun to kissing — so long as they are happy. It’s almost as if they want to reinforce the idea that getting wet clothed is bound to end in misery!

Generally a vast majority of scenes that could lead to sex end in failure in mainstream movies and TV which can’t show such stuff. The longer ones anyway, as the shorter successful ending ones have rather less back story and fade to black faster, so probably no time for a wetlook build up. It’s all due to most of the shows an dmovies coming from the US which has by far the strictest laws on nudity and sex among Western countries. Comical even. You can put in to s of violence and still get PG, even a suggestion of sex can get you an R rating. So wetlook only has a chance in non American movies (not really popular worldwide, maybe there are some Italian, French etc movies with wetlook, we just never see them) or in movies that have given up on any rating other than R and so can include wetlook, like Fifty Shades Freed with the shower wetlook and shirt ripping scene leasing to sex.

Wetlook in films and TV seems to follow a pattern where it has to end in failure … I guess that’s just a feature of fiction itself, where characters are subjected to endless failures, but it would be nice if wetlook could be more strongly associated with where things go well instead of go wrong …

Hi all,

Not sure if this has been posted before, it's probably the best wetlook scene I've seen in TV/Film. I have no idea the character or concept of the show, I literally walked in on my housemate watching it. Season 4 Episode 5, if you go to the last 5-10 mins this a top shower scene.

It's on Netflix if you have it otherwise its available on Dailymotion if you use the Google Video search, I'd post here but not sure rules surrounding links to dodgy TV series uploads.
