...sadly as you see only you commented and ALL PRODUCERS ignored. And the situation with some sites is really bad. There were even dodgy https certificates. I actually even could name sites that are deemed unsafe, with proof as in my correspondence with banks (ING, Santander and Citibank, which I have cards in, so giant multinational institutions) which have rather good customer support and definitely helped identify where data leaked. But I don’t want any blame game. Actually, criticizing a producer for something so serious, even with proof would result in a total ban here. One thing this community cannot do is PR and customer service. Never admits mistakes, never changes. Some sites still use weird processors stuck in the 1990s. One site uses supposedly CCBill, but they have some f-ed some template for it, which for my country uses a list of pre-1997 regions to choose from, most mis-spelled :D. Of course we also have positive examples, like Wetlooker using PayPal, until it stopped being possible, that switching to an EU based strict GDPR compliant processor (which means a lot as EU rules on privacy are much harsher than US ones) and still offers PayPal via Patreon. That is A+ customer service. Many others don’t care, even despite being based in the West, not Russia, so with more options available to them.

Hey Mike,

Actually, I think that you are more than right about this information. There is too much collected without warning you.

People do know to less about the dangers of the current internet, and important information is spoiled without taking care. I don't think that they are selling you information, but they are just not protected correctly.

Mosty because they do you the default passwords for the databases ( if any are used) or the hostings are not updated to the lated php version, wordpress version or anything else.

Do you know that some websites of producers have a payment system, but the videos can just be downloaded. I hope that people are just paying for the content.

Everybody should take your message as a warning call and look into their site. Many things can be inproved!

This will probably get deleted, due to well, censoring uncomfortable info, but... Please prodcuers TAKE CARE OF THE PERSONAL DATA GIVEN TO YOU. I don’t mean European Union GDPR style of protection, but as someone who has bought something from the vast majority of wetlook producers over the years, please at least invest in basic safety mechanisms. I’ve had my Internet card data leaked a few times, been alerted by the bank, but I have no proof this is from wetlook, so I don’t mean that. I mean BASIC control over your own emails and mailing lists. Unlike many I check my promotional and spam folders in GMail. And I’m sick and tired of spam and phishing from supposedly official mails of wetlook producers I’ve bought from years before. I’ve even had targeted threats mentioning buying stuff from one candid producer from some weird gmail address. I just checked my spam folder and I got virus mail from a new wetlook related mail today. I know you guys are small businesses but this has got to stop. I have mails supposedly from three producers with phishing/virus/malware links and personal threats from someone about buying from a certain producer. This is totally insane. I also input my personal data only on Apple devices, iPad/iPhone and while I download stuff on PC, it’s a highly protected one.

So after a decade of buying stuff normally, no VPNs or PaySafeCard I’m fed up with the level of disrespect in this community, towards customers. And also as there are no discussions here about it, I guess such post get censored, which makes it worse.

So please producers check your databases, defenses etc, as I’m sorry, but next time my bank calls me that a card I used ONLY on wetlook sites has been used to order Uber Eats on the other side of the world and do I accept the charge, as per my own (typical) Uber Eats order I couldn’t have flown there in time, I will go through the roof and not just deal with the cops, but also call 911 and invoke GDPR as I know live in Europe.

Same for other data. Sorry, but as I work with data myself, I’m almost inclined to show the screens and meta data of emails. A lot of producers don’t give a f..k about data protection. And this is insane. So please guys, I love you all, don’t treat it as aap threat, but I’m really half inclined to make to make a post here, on the UMD and basically everywhere, with all the screenshots, metadata and more.

So PLEASE RESPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS DATA. This is Wetlook, not say bondage, we should nit need a fake email and anonymous paysafe card to join. Especially as protection, real protection is possible. One of the sites I use most is Russian based, using an EU card processor and no problems from there. No email leaks, no card leaks. So it is doable.

But from a Western based producer (supposedly), though probably spoof email, I got a spam link again. Sent also to my email used last over 7 years ago, so someone got data from 6-7 years ago as they have both.

I’m sick and tired of this, and as I have premium Google services for work reasons, I’m allowed to contact support that can actually do something and they blatantly said this was not a leak on my account with most of the issues.
