Yes, they swam with their wellies on and full of water.
The boots didn't drag them down but did make swimming harder as they couldn't use their feet like flippers, the way a barefoot swimmer can, they both commnented on this after they came out of the water.
No, boots didn't start to fall off. The only times wellies would fall off when swiming would be if: a) The girl deliberately wiggled her feet out of them, i.e. actively and deliberately shook them off. b) The wellies were massively too big, say size 8 boots on a girl with size 3 feet. Then they might fall off.
Generally speaking well-fitting wellies will not fall off when swimming, indeed being full of water can make them much harder to get off than dry ones, we've often found this at the end of scenes when the girls go to change, and have to really pull and help each other to get their boots off. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
