Maybe it's the nostalgia talking, but I do agree that in the era of yesteryear, there was more of an emphasis on quality when it came to production. Old content is old and the resolution may be a pixelated eye hurt in full screen, but there are some aspects that are better than a lot of the content posted here today. Some of it's also personal preference, I'll give that. I do think that may be because those involved were enthusiasts with a genuine interest as opposed to collecting a quick check or likes.

Also, we have some here that can give quality material still, even if it's not as often as they'd like or we'd like.

When it comes to outfits... Some producers get it better than others IMO. Some producers and models know how to dress, and others need a few pointers and style guides. Now, everyone misses every once in a while (no one's perfect), but some miss more than others. Again, some of that's personal preference, but I have seen some instances where I'm just like, "Who taught you that that looked good?" Sometimes that can be a product of "checklist wetlook" (where you try to include as much as you can so you can check off as many boxes as you can in a single set), other times it can be trying too hard, and other times it's just not knowing what works, flows, or meshes.

We're kind of a fringe group as it is, so....

I’ve said previously that Erik Elsas is the master of wetlook production. All models fully dressed in their own outfits, starting completely dry with shoes jewellery and accessories. So much better than the current crop of ill fitting jeans, t shirts and socks on damp girls. I sometimes think he has his models get wet in the clothes they arrive in rather than what they brought to get wet as I can’t think that some outfits are what a non wetlooker would choose to wear.

Would a girl in her early twenties think ‘I’m going swimming in my clothes today, I’ll wear knee high boots, tights and my leather jacket’?

The best producers in my view have always been those who are themselves in wetlook. Erik Elsas is for me the best example of a producer who despite his enormous output is paying still much attention to details. And his models seem generally happy with what they are doing.That probably much depends not only on pay but also on a good preparation of the scenario, ensuring that the model knows what to expect will not be afraid etc. With some other producers one can understand from the faces of the models that they find it actually awkward what they are doing. They are visibly uncomfortable. For me that destroys all my pleasure. So yes, I fully support your call.

Produced vs candid material has long been a thorny matter of debate. The difficulty for me with produced material is that all the women involved are just models who are there to get paid. That is not to say that none of them enjoy it, as clearly plenty do have a lot of fun, but we don’t know how many of them enjoy get wet fully clothed outside of the photo and video sessions. Produced wetlook is not an indicator of what you might be fortunate enough to enjoy in real life. It’s hard to get excited over what is essentially fiction: it’s the same as watching television shows that depict things that would never happen in real life, especially shows that stretch the boundaries of plausibility. It’s why I don’t find wet_lotte’s stories exciting: they are all so hopelessly unlikely as to be unbelievable. This is of course a matter of perspective: details matter hugely to me, but to many people they do not. I need to be able to relate to the story.

I don’t know how much blame can be put onto the models who are not fully dry before the next shoot — this is more of a logistics matter of the production process, and it’s the producers who you would have to question. Wetlook for some models seems to be a preferable alternative to lingerie or nudity, without being anything that excites them in any way. If the models don’t understand the fetish, they would not necessarily have any desire to argue about how the shoot is being arranged. It’s down to the author of the fiction—the producers—to ensure that the details we desire are all taken care of.

Perhaps we need an adjustment in balance more in favour of quality over quantity!

There have been a few times in my life where a girl, out of love, really applied herself to please me. Dressed herself up like a perfect 10, night out on the town, to end the night in the shower together. A really long, hot, affectionate clothed shower. These have become the most cherished of memories.

Unfortunately for me this was not the typical experience. I think it differs from man to man, but more often the message I get is - you don't deserve to have me go the extra mile to please you - don't deserve, aren't worth it, not good enough for me, haven't 'earned' it.

Which is fine, if it were honest... I am not above admitting my faults and trying to do better... but typically this is a ploy to see how much more she can get out of me. It's hard not to resent someone who has no real intention of ever pleasing you, but is happy to try and manipulate you for anything she can get out of you. It's difficult to feel safe around someone who would happily see you homeless if you let them do their worst.

So these little mistakes - unzipped fly, already wet underwear, wrinkled outfit etc.. can be extra annoying because they indicate her attitude - you're not worth pleasing, but she is happy to put forth a lazy, patronizing attempt to manipulate you.

One of the things that annoys me is shots that some of the producers bang out where a woman will have done many shots that day and on the later shots you can tell her underwear is still wet! They'll have jeans on, but they're already damp at the top from their undies. Again I'm not a complainer, just irritates me!

I'm not a fan of ripping clothes either - that gets to me.

Well done for daring to show an opinion though!

Hey forum...

I have enjoyed much of what I see on this forum however I do miss the candid contributions. There are times when certain things do bug me, although I don't like complaining...

For example, when I see a girl enjoying the water in her tight jeans, seeing that she forgot to do up her fly all the way, or push the pockets down into her jeans just bothers me. Yeah, I know it's a small thing but I do wonder if others share my stupidity...
