I agree that the quality of today isn't what it used to be, which can be applied to several different levels. Obviously the picture quality has gone up from the years of old (hello HD!), but the quality being pictured has... varied... Producers nowadays (IMO) are more about quantity rather than quality - and if quality happens to make in yay. I'm not going to entirely fault them for this, since it looks like this is some attempt at a primary gig and the bills need to get paid, as opposed to some side project labor of love where one can take a little time and pay attention to detail for a quality product. Many producers have come and gone over the years - there are 20 years worth of posts on this forum to highlight that - and they've come and gone for various reasons.
Yeah, we may be spoiled for choice a lot more than in previous eras, thanks to social video sites like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and others - I think YouTube drove a number of producers into retirement (could be wrong here) - but when most of the content is... meh... yay choice! I guess.
Some things are due to budget, sure. Outfits and certain locations can be gatekept by what's available. Even then there are still some things that can be done to be a bit less "weeee here's a video of someone in wet clothes for the sake of putting something out there" and something that feels worth one's viewership (and money, if it's a paid video). We all like the video where there's a nice outfit worn by a nice model (or multiple outfits on multiple models), all the transition points and points of emphasis are highlighted, the energy is there, and we kinda get the feeling we had when we watched our first wetlook video.
We've also come a long way from the days when you thought you were the only one or happening to be lucky enough to know a producer's mailing address/list. Both a wee bit before my time. |

By Loverofwetlook - Sun 18/09/22 21:51:47 GMT Laziess...or in a hurry. Same reason why many do not fully immerse, or be fully dressed. Quality is gone. AndWamtec was just as bad... no aftershots, sloppy and crass. |
