There are various angles on this. The people we watch may be:

• Married

• Decades older now

• Lesbian (wouldn’t date us no matter what)

• Single but still incompatible

• Unaware of the fetish and would be disturbed if they knew (candid, or all the scenes on YouTube, TikTok etc where the comments left on their videos upset them)

• Wetlook models but still not truly aware of how sexual it is (since it is not sexual to them)

• Fictional (watching a persona, such as a movie character, not their real personality)

• Don’t even like getting wet fully clothed (e.g. actresses in films, candid examples where it was not actually enjoyable, or too drunk to realise but would hate the experience when sober)

• Distressed (both candid situations and fictional scenes, for example watching a movie character getting soaked in a thriller where from the character’s perspective they are terrified for their life)

• Or, as noted, simply dead

I am not sure that dead people are especially morbid considering that they are in many cases no more real to us than so many other examples where the scenes we watch or play out in our minds would never exist and could never work out in reality.

I’m a nerd — no way would I ever survive a relationship with anyone in any wetlook scene, be it a film, candid, produced, anything. There is just too vast a gulf between how I think and how anyone else on the planet thinks.

All of this is just some thoroughly depressing fetish upon which the present state of the model, or their state at the the time they were photographed or filmed, has no real bearing. The only thing I feel is their disapproval when I imagine them seeing how much of an absolute loser I am. One particular model here was very clear how terrible a person I am, but I can at least I am not whoring myself out to wetlook fetishists. (I maintain that she simply cannot comprehend the very different way that I see the world, but that makes me terrible apparently.)

I have been struggling with this question since the passing of Krista Bruenig and emergence of vintage wetlook material, now brought back again with the current situation in Ukraine and its potential to harm wetlook models:

We know ours is a sexual fetish. Is it appropriate to get excited watching a vintage clip or wetlook material knowing the subject of the video is dead? Isnt it a bit morbid?

What about current material - what if the madness on East escalates and some of the young and pretty models of Dima or Viktor lose their lives? (I dont want it to happen, but war is brutal). Wil Viktor or Dima remove them from the website?

Sorry for a strange question, but I would like to know your answers.
