I fell in the river when walking along the levee embankment last year (full story on Janet&Julia's forum (Non-Fictional Stories and News -> Walking along the levee then accidentally falling into the river). It was joyously wonderful, because I didn't expect it, and hadn't planned on getting wet that day. I stepped off the levee to aviod some stinging nettles, treading on what I thought was grass but turned out to be river, toppling over backwards and going right under. I climbed out and got a few funny looks from people walking along the footpath, with soaking wet hair and tie-dye teeshirt. Lol :) Always fill your day with wonderful things! |

By messylaura - Mon 20/03/23 14:32:20 GMT just remembered another big drenching, not an accidental one but a supprise oppertunity, there was a foot tunnel under the north circular A road that had flooded due to the pumps failing, its happened before after heavy rain.
i posted about it at the time but i was on the way past it wearing a long velvet dress, wasn't intending to get wet that day but i had my camera with me for some wildlife stuff, switch to a 32mm lens and gave my bag with the rest of the gear to my gf and went down the tunnel for some images, water was chest high
think i posted on the umd with a few shots
i thought i was in for a cold walk home as it was a bit on the windy side but the long velvet kept me pretty warm even though it was dripping wet

By messylaura - Mon 20/03/23 02:30:38 GMT i've accidentally fallen into a cut out along a river bank, the tide was out so it was dry but it could have been wet, genuinely didn't see it in the twilight.
accidentally fallen into a park pond twice, both from the same reason, i was out to get wet but not in that way, first time i was looking for somewhere to sit low to the water so i went to step down onto a concrete step at the waters edge, turns out it was a trick of the light and it was about 3 feet deep. second time, smaller garden pond, first was a lake, again i was out to get wet in the rain, The pond in this park i hadn't been to in a while and i remember it having a knee deep level, as i stepped down i just kept going, and as i thought i was going to hit bottom pretty quick like knee deep my other foot was still on the edge of the pond, i went to bring it down but i couldnt and fell in sideways, got fully drenched, was wearing all black skirt suit and it ended up with green pond weed all over it and in my hair,
on one occasion at the thames river at low tide i was wanting to go down to the mud, on this day i only planned on wadding knee deep as it was a day out with my gf rather than a full on mud session, as i went down a boat ramp i assumed would be grippy because it was rough concrete i took a few steps onto the thin layer of mud and was on my arse sliding down to the water, could have been a emergency rescue as i would have been helpless without anything to grab hold of but it remained shallow, it wasnt a full submerging but it could have been a scenario to fit your ideas, it did send a load of mud up my skirt which was a bonus
aside from those i've not had any fall in submerges but a few drenchings which were a supprise and resulted in a full drenching
two were from puddle splashes, one from a bus and one from a lorry, both were expected splashings but i wasnt expecting the volume of water, the bus one was a opportunity i took at the moment, i walked a little bit faster to get splashed on a regular day out, didn't think about the depth of puddle, it was in the middle of the day on a busy street so i turned away to make it lok as i didn't want to get wet (didn't want a full face slosh at the time) this was at a time when i used umberellas rather than hats in the rain, as the bus splashed be it was not only more water than i was expecting and drenched me on the back but the water hit the inside of my umberella and directed back at me getting me in the face and chest fully soaked on the back and front
the other one from the lorry i was already pretty wet from the rain so it wasnt a soaking from dry but again the puddle was huge and i was wanting a fully soaking, i closed my eyes as the lorry passed then got knocked onto my back hard, the water volume was that much, fortunatly it was on a grass siding so i wasnt hurt but i was now sitting in a pool of muddy grassy water, i was wearing a heavier coat that day and i may as well have rolled around in the puddle i couldnt have gotten any wetter.
other things i have seen and done, pranks on secretaries, one of ours was always up for a laugh and she got quite a few drenchings in the summer, very nice lady too, mostly buckets over doors,
i've seen a few people get caught out by awnings full of water on a windy day when its rained a ton
so not many actual fall ins but lots soaked through, really heavy rain is a great one too, i've been caught out a few times when i didn't want to get wet not just soaked but drenched right through
even my gf's mum got me into a wet dress once, not really a soaking but it was really erotic to get wet unexpectedly it was a quiz night in a large hall, which had a bar, i was wearing a thin summer dress in yellow with all red under wear and accessories, like bag shoes, as she sat next to me her wine glass slipped and went straight into my lap, i'm no fan of the small of wine and alcohol so i went and washed it out, well i took the piss a bit to make the most of the situation and took my dress off and washed it fully then put it back on wet but rung out a bit as i returned to the table her mum said oh, youre wearing stockings, was a bit more see thru than i thought
something i've not seen in real life or done is sitting on the edge of a fountain or water container then fallen backwards into it, that would apply to your scenario you asked about
walking over a frozen pond would be a drenching but not a fun one, if the water is too cold you loose feeling and theres no real point if you cant enjoy or feel the water
i have a habit of going ot when its too cold really and just wanting to come home when the fun goes away, prefer warmer wetness

By Michael - Mon 20/03/23 00:12:42 GMT Emergency would be something like saving a drowning person or animal or similat. Accidentally falling into water is a bit too general, what is the scenario that lead to someone falling in? |

By Malvineous - mrnemesis@ntlworld.com Sun 19/03/23 23:32:02 GMT What is an “emergency” way to get wet?
What kind of scenarios do you have in mind? You mean something other than accidentally falling into a pool/pond/river? |

By Michael - Sun 19/03/23 23:12:47 GMT What are some non-emergency ways of accidentally getting wet? Preferably submerged wet. |
