That's the advantage of not getting married, as long as they know, just meet them through a mutual enjoyment of getting wet, and don't get too serious or expect too much. Always have a backup, in the true data processing tradition. Obviously let them have one too. And always be 'careful', nuff said :) Always fill your day with wonderful things :)

I am not able to watch the Killer Fish video, as it requires a Google account and I threw mine away years ago in disgust, once I was no longer allowed a separate YouTube account.

I’m thinking less about how wetlook enthusiasts view these scenes, and more about non-wetlook folk, and what mental association they form. We see so many examples here of men married to women who are hostile to getting wet fully clothed. Granted, it may well be that such women would not respond positively to positive scenes anyway.

I’m a terribly shy and inhibited (and insecure) individual, and no matter how much fun others may have, it does not in any way mean that I would want to participate. Of course, at the extreme end, when you get as far as sex, you have the risk of pregnancy, but once you start involving passion, you’re leaping beyond reason and into uncontrolled chaos, and taking that kind of leap—for someone like me, at least—requires a clear prior understanding of the dangers, even if it’s just the high risk of emotional crash and burn if you get passionate before realising that the two of you are intellectually incompatible.

I guess I’ve traded in the emotional rollercoaster ride for a stable level of sadness …

Then you watch wetlook in film and TV and find that those scenes are all sad, too, as though there is no way to win: live out your wetlook dream and you’re *still* sad. What kind of fucked-up message is that trying to send?

Film and TV, for me, are a just a complete mess in general …

But yes, I get your point that, in one’s teens and 20s, when this is all new, anything is exciting! Even when wetlook scenes on your computer are more imagination than actual pixels …

Do you have the underwater scene that occurs at the 1 hour and 2 minute mark? (of the Finest Hour)

This movie is a bit of a "tragedy" but it is also the first wetlook scene that i was able to fully enjoy.  This takes me back to 1994 (i was 20 years old then) and i was so envious of the chance to tip over a canoe on a date like that, and to see her hair slicked back from the dunking.

You make a good point about how many wetlook scenes occur in moments of misery or failure, yet back in those days, any wetlook scene was like a diamond, and "good" wetlook scenes were like unicorns!  The pool scene in killer fish doesn't strike me as being entirely misery or failure (for the photographer, perhaps)

Wetlook in movies and TV probably will never be a positive experience for the characters, all though in few cases it is.  MK probably could mention scenes like that more easily than i could? (the boat/rain scene from "The Notebook" is the first example that comes to my mind)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXY962z-Kzc

I suppose TV & movies use of wetlook is more of a drama enhancer (good AND bad) and does contribute to people's actual view of getting wet fully clothed?

I have a clip of that scene from Finest Hour, only all the under-the-canoe part is missing: you only get just the part where the canoe tips, to them leaving the water.

That scene follows what seems to be a nearly universal pattern in films (movies) — getting wet fully clothed is always used as a way to portray misery or failure. Maybe those two get together at the end, who knows … but the scene, in isolation, is one of sadness, and this perception is drummed into you time and time again, that you’ll have only bad memories of the experience.

Why can’t wetlook be a positive experience for the characters?

Who knows how many people’s actual view of getting wet fully clothed is shaped by the lousy way that it’s used in film and TV.

From my years of observing & participating, here's what i think... (good, bad & ugly)

There's a lot of deadbeats here that don't want to pay for their wetlook.  Some people like business suits, some people like formal dresses.  There are producers, some of whom like to produce business suits, some who like to produce formal dresses.  This doesn't mention casual, or any type of clothing as long as it is red. Or black.  There are producers who will negotiate "customs" (and maybe non of this is news to you?) and include tearing/ripping of the clothing in the process

A lot of beautiful women grew up thinking they are ugly (for various reasons) so when all of a sudden there is such an outpouring of "OMG, so HOTT! OMG, so beautiful!" that certainly places a solid kick into the testes of that little self destructive voice that has been whispering "you're ugly" all these years.  And maybe what i'm saying doesn't apply at all?

So you guys might try different mini-dress styles, light colors, such as with the following clips.  From the 1992 movie "The Finest Hour" at the 19 minute mark.  As far as ideas go, you might even make it a date and tip over a canoe in a similar way?  The other example is from the 1979 movie "Killer Fish"

The Finest Hour (start at 19 minute mark)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mYfi50ZDUY&t=1382s

Killer Fish (start at 33 minute mark)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylOJ87-pQr8

I highly recommend "accidental" (or even ON PURPOSE) wetlook in public, at a lake, or outside fountain like Portland's Salmon Street Springs (is Portland a safe place to visit in this post-covid reality?) (start at 1:52 mark)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylOJ87-pQr8

another thing you might try is a "how's the water" video where she stands next to a pool, lake, nice place to fall into the water, and you pretend like you are making a video.  "here we are at Randlemann park, its a beautiful sunny 85 degree day! The lake here is beautiful, even though i didn't bring a swimsuit, i'm still tempted to just jump right in" [cameraman: well, how's the water?] "i don't know, let me check" she turns her back to the camera, you let your hand appear in view of the camera, and as she kneels down to dip her hand in the water, you push her in!  She can end the short with a closing comment like "The water's great, that was awesome" etc. I've thought about trying to start a tiktok trend with this, but i don't have tiktok...

As i look at it, just keep doing what you are doing.  It seems like you (and/or her) want to maintain your anonymity, and i say keep doing that.  If you have a reason to keep that guarded, you might regret revealing anything that could be recognizable.  I have heard of "private" producers (similar to yourselves) that were faced with blackmail by someone who recognized a face, or a tattoo, or even a location.  In some cases (one was a UMD forum user) all of their pictures and their profile suddenly disappeared.  One very striking wetlook blogger was Lindsey Ambs (not her real name) https://lindseyambs.wordpress.com/ who quickly developed quite a following, and then all of a sudden, she no longer added new postings to her blog.  I was lucky enough to have email contact with her, but even then, i heard the story second hand of what happened to her.

Another unexpected situation FOR ME is that i previously hungered for wetlook in a manner similar to breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Today, the hunger is gone.  But that might just me be?

But despite all of that, i suggest you keep this as a special thing between just the two of you.  It might be an option to begin producing content, and it might be a disaster for one, or both of you to "go public" (not that relationships don't have risks without mixing in uncertainties with the online wetlook community) HTH! (Hope This Helps!)

Encouraging comments on her Flickr photos might help her feel more comfortable, and maybe she’ll be more open to new ideas, which I’m all for.

Hey all,

I recently watched a show called "Keep Breathing" on Netflix (released in 2022) which had a good looking girl in skinny jeans with a lot of wetlook. Her small plane goes down in a lake and she spends much of the time in the water. The show is actually quite terrible, but it had a lot of great wetlook. Check it out.

And for the fun of it, I wanted to share some pics from my Flickr account (https://www.flickr.com/photos/128120093@N06/) with my wife in mostly skinny jeans and heels. It took years to get her to come around to this, and now it is a fun part of our lives. Sometimes the outfits and shoots are planned (I post these more), other times it is spontaneous and she knows that anything she wears is game for the shower (I post these less because I'm usually too busy getting wet with her). Jeans and heels are my thing, so that's the majority of our pics. If you don't like skinny jeans, you probably won't like these. But I'm up for suggestions on new outfits. Let me know and maybe we'll try something new (or maybe we've already done it as I have tons of shoots). I post new pics periodically. But be warned: Because they are my pics, I reserve the right to ensure privacy (blurred face). So for those that complain about that, don't even check this out. Also, feel free to leave individual comments in Flickr. Degrading and unnecessary comments will get this taken down. Later...
