Oh that story — I read that before but I forget why. So you want me to ask someone to push me in (not sure how I feel about that idea) when I’d rather just jump in? OK, I misread what you wrote, but now I am even more confused. I can get myself wet just fine … That’s easy. Not doing it alone, however.

The whole idea is a complete write-off: too many things just won’t work.

As far as i know, no one has ever attempted to impersonate me (not yet, anyways)

read my posting again... you are not pushing her into the water, she is pushing YOU into the water. You ask her to do the recording. But considering your avoidance of smart phones, i see how either way that is an unlikely outcome, but it is something that has ended up being fun for me. Megan was one of the few 10's i'd flirted with, it was so perfect for that short time. But i am also twice her age. And i've never seen her before or after. And i didn't have a good/useable smart phone at that time anyway.

Which makes me think, the "let's make it look like revenge" scenario (that i ACTUALLY used with Megan) might be a better option.

um... yeah, so copied and pasted my story from siren's wetlook story page, posted in 2018...

Among my various occupations, I had just completed the first classroom phase of railroad operations (i was specifically taught how my employer wanted everyone to set track switches, couple and uncouple rail cars, air brake hoses, etc) We were finished on a Friday, and at lunchtime we were set free!

My "FEW" (future Ex Wife) was expecting me later in the evening, based on our classes finishing later in the evening for the past 3 weeks. WOW, i've got the afternoon to myself! Due to many years serving in the military, i am probably most comfortable wearing army boots. Our classroom attire was casual, i was wearing some slacks and a semi-nice button shirt over a t-shirt. There was a really nice Lake on the way home, and i hadn't been swimming in sooo long, so that was my first stop.

This park itself was nice enough, but there was barely anyone there. (one thing i miss is the INCREDIBLE THRILL of entering the water fully clothed, i've done it so much now, i don't get the same thrill that i did when i was younger!) But for being such a long time since the last time i went swimming, it was nice to be in the water again! I found a decent place to enter the water, and slowly enjoyed ever step that took me deeper and deeper into the water. Situationally speaking, I didn't want to be "caught" so i went in fairly quick, submerged myself completely, and swam around just a little bit before wading back out.

I've always pondered that 100 years ago and earlier, spare clothes were not as easy acquired as today? Therefore, getting your clothes wet was highly discouraged, at least in the west. I strolled around a little bit, enjoying the feel of my wet clothes. I was still very early in the afternoon, so I had a few more hours on my own. I decided to stop at Gray's Lake before i actually would return home, and most likely go for one more swim!

When i arrived, i was happy. Gray's Lake is probably one of the nicest parks in my area. There is a walk/run/bike pathway a little bit longer than 2 miles that encircles the lake. There is a boat rental that i have barely ever used. One fun activity for me, is to exercise here. First with a jog around the lake, then a short swim to cool off. My favorite parking space was available, so after i was parked, i strolled around just a little bit to get a feel for where (and how) my 2nd clothed swim of the day would proceed!

With SOOOO many people around, i didn't want to just wade in like i did an hour ago. Therefore, i will need an accomplice! My idea was that i would ask someone to push me in from the small boat dock normally used by kayak/canoe/SUP boaters, etc. I probably spent 15 minutes scrutinizing the nearby park patrons. There was a young lady that appeared to be visiting an older relative. As i built up enough nerve to approach her with my unusual request, i saw that i was too late. As i started walking towards her, she and the relative were walking away from me towards where they had parked their car. What a bummer. Nobody else that remained looked like anyone that i wanted to bother. Oh well, guess i will just leave???

I turned around and began walking back toward my car. As i walked around a few trees i suddenly noticed a different young lady laying on a picnic blanket and reading a book. I sat down on the grass and extended my hand "Hi, I'm Greg, what's your name?" "Hi Greg, I'm Megan"

"Nice to meet you Megan. Please let me know if i am bothering you, but I have a small dilemma I am hoping you can help me with?"

"What kind of dilemma? And how can * EYE * help YOU with this dilemma?"

"Well Megan, it's such a nice day today. I'd like to go swimming, but i don't have a swimming suit with me. My preferred option is hoping that i can somehow talk you into pushing me in the water...?"

"Oh I don't know if i want to do that? I don't want people to see me as an asshole to do something like that? If you want to go swimming so badly, why don't you just confidently walk into the water???"

"I suppose as a last resort, i might could do something like that. Probably I would just strip off my shirt and shoes, so it doesn't look quite so abnormal. But you don't have to worry about people seeing you as the asshole. I will crouch down and dip my hand in the water, and that will be so easy for you at that point to push me in! You can even say something like: REVENGE TIME! so instead of being the asshole, it can seem like i had alreadyt done the same to you at some earlier time!"

"Oh, but you're not going to try to push me in instead or anything?"

"Well, i think it would be more fun that way, but i won't force that on you.

Mehgan and i walked down to the dock.  I crouched down and dipped my hand in the water.  For a second, i thought she might be chickening out, but almost as soon as those thoughts crossed my mind, i felt her hand on my shoulder, pushing me rather gently off balance.  So for me it all happened so fast, from the moment i felt her hand, it almost seemed like i teleported underwater.

Here the water was quite shallow, just about at my waist.  I don't think she yelled anything when she pushed me in, so i stood up and then i said "i guess that makes us even now?" I splashed a little bit of water on her, and she said "wow, that actually feels pretty good..."

In hindsight, i probably could have actually got her in the water BUT i had promised her i would not, so I just pulled myself out of the water and we started walking to the parking lot.  "well, thank you for helping me with my dilemma, Megan"  She replied, "no problem, anytime!"

At that point, my free time was dwindling, so reluctantly i looked forward to avoid trouble at home.  I'd hope to encounter Megan again someday, but that remains to be seen...

Wait, what girlfriend?

Are you the real Greg or are you an imposter?

Not only would I never lie to them (and I am concerned that you would even suggest that I would, if even for no other reason that the horrible idea of starting out with deception from the word go: no basis for an honest and open relationship) — (and maybe you really didn’t know this) I have no mobile phone, only a conventional camera. Besides, phones are a major part of the logistics problem. Pushing a random stranger in, without warning, without considering what she may have on her person that is not water-resistant, or, could fall out of bag or pocket and vanish with the current (which has already happened to me there).

Besides, no fun if I have to stay dry to guard things.

If you don’t know the place, you won’t realise that it’s like a teensy little maze, you can even get lost there briefly. You can’t be anywhere near the deep water and near where people walk at the same time. The layout, being surrounded by trees and bushes, adds a lot of charm, but it’s not like the edge of a lake.

And let’s face it, the odds of finding a compatible soul there is zero … so you have to just hang around like a creep for hours, and it’s very easy to get bored. I’ve only had one long afternoon there and at least Squishy Plushie was around, even if we’re not compatible.

Some things just work, like in the US where you have the climate for outdoor pools … but other things do not. I’ve always seemed to gravitate to things that don’t work.

i probably won't post my video for the community, BUT...

Try the "how's the water" approach... basically, you approach a nice young lady and explain that it is a dare from a friend in AUS/NZ/USA/etc... you need her to record you with your camera/smartphone, you will say "it's a nice day here, it's 25 degrees Celcius" and MAYBE you can get her to say "how's the water" and you reply "let me check" and you bend down to stick your hand in the water, while she let's her hand be visible in the camera, and then records her hand pushing you into the water...

The possiblities range from "no way, you're a werido" to possibly meeting the girl of your dreams. What worked for me might not work for you. I didn't record this with "Megan" and i think back to how things might have been different with her? My current girlfriend has done the camera duties a few times, but doesn't seem to want to be the star just yet so far...

I can’t swim … but I did play in the water at the nature reserve twice. I went back once more on a cooler day and it was just not warm enough for anyone else to go in. I would have done if anyone else had, but no luck. I wanted to entice a passing lady to join me in the water, but I could not figure out any way to make any part of it work: even if I succeeded, then what?

I hoped I would get soaked walking home from work but it’s only drizzling with rain.

My hobby has crumbled away. It was always going to be short-lived, and it has managed to just about stretch to a year. If I could resolve the massive blockage, it would keep me going for weeks yet, but it would still end.

Getting wet works out well for some people, with or without a willing spouse/partner, and it works a lot less well for others. It’s a complicated mess that I have never been able to piece together; there is no-one out there who understand how I see it.

Great to read your experiences, Malvineous. Sounds like a great hobby, but as well a hobby which costs a lot of time I think. Suppose it could be a bit boring when you are always just on your own. The tension of other people is nice as well, I think. Shame that your swim in the local nature reserve didn't happen. I hope you find a solution for your logistical problem.

And wetjeans, how do people react in Amsterdam when they see you swimming in your jeans? Guess Amsterdam is pretty open minded to a lot of things? Anyone ever joined you on the occasion when they saw you swimming?

How are you all enjoining this summer?

The summer in Holland is not very great. Most of the people dislike all the rainy days, but for a wetlook lover these days are great. On these rainy days I like to go for a walk and get home soaked. Unfortunately I don’t have a dog, people don’t look weird when you walk with a dog in the rain.

Also I really much like to go for a run in the rain. I wear my trainers, a tight walking pants and a shirt with another shirt over it. At the way back you are soaked and the water really cools you off.

What is your way to a ‘regular’ wetlook in this rainy summer?
